Ryan Timothy LaFerney will receive his BFA in art history (with a minor in interdisciplinary arts) from the Kansas City Art Institute in spring 2010. As an undergraduate, he has co-curated notable exhibitions at the Monarch Gallery, including The Glee Medicine Show 2009 and A Sense of Place (planned for April 23rd 2010). Post-graduation, he plans to continue to explore this world through the process of interpolation while attempting to live a life of service and generosity as an antidote to our collective anxiety. With a bit of fresh air, he foresees growing restless in the near future and pursuing the next chapter of education, graduate-level studies in the field of art history with an emphasis in Modern and contemporary art, probably outside the Kansas City area.
